Once each quarter, SFBIG holds a "Reach Event" focused on bringing leaders from the market and the industry together to discuss relevant topics that effect all of us in our professional lives. These events are geared specifically toward educating the Bay Area interactive professionals on everything from video on the web to dynamics of local search and aim to provide deeper context around issues we all deal with daily. The speakers at Reach Events represent an array of marketers, publishers, new technologies and ad agencies, and often provide fodder for extensive dialog well beyond the events themselves.
It is at Reach Events where SFBIG really recognizes its original charter, not just to re-energize and bring together the Bay Area digital community, but to bring value in the form of education about the industry to SFBIG's members. "Bringing the community together is the easy part," states CBS's Scot McLernon, co-founder of SFBIG, "but if we aren't developing the knowledge base of the professionals in this market, then we're not having the impact all of us desire."
